KEION’S STORY

RESILIENCE BUILT HIM.
FAITH BECAME HIS LEGACY.

From industry leaders to a rising generation of believers, Keion is known for his dynamic preaching style that connects timeless biblical truth with modern culture.

For Keion, advancing the gospel means meeting people where they are (online and offline) and proving

that faith–how it shapes and defines our lives–

requires more than traditional structures or practices. Urgency and accessibility has drawn millions to his platforms and messages, making The Lighthouse Church & Ministry one of America’s fastest-growing churches.

From John Maxwell Institute honors to a CNN Heroes nomination, Keion is respected, not only for what he has built, but for how he loves, lifts, and leads with a relentless heart to serve.

Keion Henderson is a globally renowned thought leader who guides conversations to the intersection of faith, culture, and business.

With 30 years in active ministry, he has become a multigenerational voice who educates, equips, and empowers communities to action through the teaching of God’s word.

I want to raise thinkers who don’t flinch, and doers who don’t delay. I want my work to be the renewal of thinking, not the decoration of speech.

STEPS, SCARS,

AND SEASONS

THE EARLY YEARS

Your calling doesn’t wait for credentials.

Keion first felt the call to preach at the age of five. By 21, while still a college student on an athletic scholarship, he founded his first church, Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist, with just five members. Within five years, his voice and vision grew that church to 600 congregants, a glimpse of the influence to come.

“When I met him he was having church in the school and now he has a multimillion dollar campus in Houston. I’m so proud of him.”

THE SHIFT

Courageously moving from season to season.

Raised in Gary, Indiana, Keion carried the ache of fatherlessness, the weight of poverty, and the collapse of his NBA dreams, as each loss grew to become a lesson in resilience and leadership. After moving to Houston for a pastoral role that never materialized, Keion could have easily quit. Instead, in 2009, he launched The Lighthouse Church & Ministries with no network, no blueprint, and no guarantees. Today, it is one of the fastest-growing churches in America, reaching millions across six continents through in-person and online ministry.

“One of the greatest preachers in the nation today.”

-Pastor Steven Furtick

FAITH IN ACTION

Faith that’s not bound by four walls.

Keion believes faith belongs in every arena; in family, culture, business, and even on the golf course. Through initiatives that include his annual conference, Cry Out Con, and year-round humanitarian efforts, he equips people to not just dream, but to build. His nonprofit, Take Action Now, has provided disaster relief, hunger campaigns, and community support worldwide.

THE MAN AND
THE MISSION

Manhood is a journey shaped by learning and creating.

Beyond the platforms and accolades, Keion is a devoted husband and proud father of a blended family. Off stage, he’s an avid golfer, traveler, and lifelong music lover. He recently co-wrote “Rock With Me” with KEM, a song that landed on the Billboard charts.
